This topic is of high interest to genealogists and military researchers throughout the region. The program will include records of all wars of this nation but will emphasize the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.

The acclaimed speaker, Craig Scott, CGRS, is from Maryland, is a professional genealogist, has edited several genealogical newsletters, and is CEO of Heritage Books, Inc. Elliott Futrell of Goldsboro, President of NCGS, will moderate the Annual Meeting. Futrell comments, “This year’s meeting with Craig Scott and Bill Brown will unlock many paths for new study and promises to be of keen interest to both the novice and experienced military historian.” Ann Hilke of Raleigh, Program Chairman, adds, “This workshop is exciting for it brings Scott and Brown together to share their Military knowledge. Their distinctive approaches to finding military ancestors are both entertaining as well as informative.”
