2013 Meeting Programs

April 4th Program Details
Featured Speaker: Ms. Betty Jean King
"1861-1862 Delegates from Granville, Warren and Franklin Counties
and their role in the secession of North Carolina from the United States"

Betty Jean King will be the featured speaker for the April 4 meeting of the Granville County Genealogical Society at 6:30 p.m. in the large meeting room of the Richard H. Thornton Library. Assisted by Wayne Gooch, GCGS member Betty Jean King will deliver a presentation which will focus on the 1861-1862 Delegates from Granville, Warren and Franklin Counties and their role in the secession of North Carolina from the United States (the Union) leading to the Civil War.

The meetings of the society are open to the public. Guests are cordially invited to join with the society members to hear this presentation, to be given at 6:30 P.M. on April 4, 2013 in the large conference room at R. H. Thornton Library in Oxford.
