Featured Speaker: Joey Dickerson
"North Carolina Cemeteries"

The Granville County Genealogical Society will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, October 3rd at 6:30 P. M., at the Richard H. Thornton Library in Oxford. The speaker for the evening will be Society member Joey Dickerson who will speak on North Carolina Cemeteries. He will touch on subjects such as grave marker forms, symbolism, and designs.

Joey, who is the Camp Commander of the Lt. John T. Bullock Camp of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans in Southern Granville County, enjoys spending spare time in cemeteries studying many differences found in graveyards. He has done research on the subject, and will discuss some interesting information he has discovered.

Please join the members of the Granville County Genealogical Society at 6:30 P.M. on October 3, 2013 in the large conference room at the Richard H. Thornton Library in Oxford to hear about what Joey has found during his research. Visitors are always welcome and are encouraged to join in this presentation.

All GCGS meetings are open to the public and guests are cordially invited to attend.
