Featured Speaker: Jannie H. Preddy
"Happenings in Southern Granville County"
Jannie Preddy will be the featured speaker for the November 7 meeting of the Granville County
Genealogical Society at 6:30 p.m. in the large conference room at the Richard H. Thornton Library in Oxford.
Preddy, a resident of southeastern Granville County since 1945, will speak about events and happenings
in southeastern Granville County since 1945 and the changes that she has witnessed during that time. Preddy
retired from the Granville County Schools in 1993 after thirty years of service in various positions within
the school system. She was a classroom teacher, county-wide elementary curriculum consultant, elementary school
principal and a middle school director of instruction during her career as an educator.
Please join the members of the Granville County Genealogical Society at 6:30 P.M. on November 7, 2013
in the large conference room at the Richard H. Thornton Library in Oxford. Visitors are always welcome and are encouraged to join in this presentation.
All GCGS meetings are open to the public and guests are cordially invited to attend.
