Featured Speaker: Mr. Allen Dew
"History of Brassfirld Baptist Church"

The program for the Thursday, December 7, 2023 meeting of the Granville County Genealogical Society will be presented by Mr. Allen Dew, who will give a presentation on "History of Brassfield Baptist Church."

Brassfield Baptist Church in the Wilton community of Southern Granville County was constituted in August 1823. The Church celebrated Its 200th Anniversary this year.

Brassfield Baptist Church is located on Hwy 96 south of Oxford & Wilton and east of Creedmoor, NC.


Allen will tell us about the founding families of the church and the many dedicated families who have served and continue to serve the church.

Please join members of the Granville County Genealogical Society in attending this meeting, to be held at 6:30 P.M. on December 7, 2023 in the conference room at the Richard H. Thornton Library in Oxford, N.C. All GCGS meetings are open to the public, and visitors and guests are always cordially invited to attend.
