2005 Meeting Programs November 3rd Program DetailsFeatured Speaker: Donald Sizemore At 6:30 P.M. on November 3, 2005, the Granville County Genealogical society, 1746 will hold its regular monthly meeting in the conference room at the Richard H. Thornton Library on Main Street, Oxford, NC. Donald Sizemore, an Oxford native, will speak to the group. He will relate some memories about growing up in Oxford in the 1940’s and ‘50’s. Donald was born and raised in Oxford. After attending public school here, he furthered his education at Louisburg College and after a 2 year tour in Germany courtesy of the US Army, he finished his formal education at Wake Forest University. Following graduation, he went to work for the Oxford Orphanage (now the Masonic Home for Children), where he worked as a social worker for the next 38 ½ years. Since his retirement, he and his wife Annette have enjoyed traveling and camping. Members of the society and guests are cordially invited to attend this entertaining and informative meeting.
