2006 Meeting Programs April 6th Program Details Program Title: “Using Collectables as Clues to Family History” “Pem” was born in Henderson in 1953 and has been a life long resident of Granville County. He graduated from South Granville High School in 1972 and attended the University Of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is single and lives in the Wilton community near Brassfield Church. His vocation is the management of rental property, which he owns, but his avocation is the collecting of artifacts and his major interests include ephemera, bottles, 78 R.P.M. phonograph records and items from Granville County and surrounding areas. He is a member of the Brassfield Baptist Church, the Raleigh Bottle Club, the Southeast Bottle Club and the Granville County Historical Society. Along with the items “Pem” has collected, he has amassed an amazing amount of knowledge about Granville, and surrounding areas, people and history. His presentation will be titled “Using Collectables as Clues to Family History” and should give an interesting and unique insight into a little different way to research genealogy and history. Please join with the Granville County Genealogical Society, 1746 at the Richard H. Thornton Library Conference Room, Main Street, Oxford, NC at 6:30 P.M. on April 6, 2006.
