2010 Meeting Programs March 4th Program DetailsFeatured Speaker: Everyone Program Title: "Genealogical Problem Solving" In an effort to deal with some of the genealogical problems that our members face, the Granville County Genealogical Society will, at the March 4, 2010 meeting, have informal discussion groups. These groups will discuss whatever the members want to talk about, there will be no set agenda. Some may have reached a “brick wall” in their research that might be solved by someone suggesting a resource that might not have been thought of, some might benefit from a research technique that they may be unfamiliar with and most will undoubtedly enjoy the camaraderie of like minded people in small informal discussions. It has been noted at our previous meetings, sometimes there was so much conversation going on that it was difficult to get the meeting started. The agenda for this March meeting will basically be an extension of this period of exchanging ideas into one that allows a little more time to discuss ideas of interest for all in attendance. You will probably want to join in several different discussions and with the extra time allowed this would certainly be encouraged. Come prepared to try and work out some of your genealogical problems at the March 4, 2010 meeting to be held at the County Commissioner’s Meeting Room, across the street from Sunshine Biscuits on Williamsboro Street in Oxford at 6:30 PM. New comers and guests will be especially welcome to join our members and are encouraged to attend this meeting. The meetings of the Granville County Genealogical Society are open to the public. Non-members are always welcome.
