2010 Meeting Programs September 2nd Program DetailsFeatured Speaker: Mark Pace Program Title: "The Granville Experience" On Thursday September 2, 2010, the Granville County Genealogical Society, 1746 will have Mark Pace as speaker for the evening. Mark is the North Carolina Room Specialist at the Richard H. Thornton Library in Oxford. He was born and raised in Vance County and was educated in the local schools and University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He has worked with an advertising company in Raleigh, and with his own freelance advertising and painting company. With a lifelong interest in genealogy and the history of Old Granville County he was the perfect choice for the job at Richard H. Thornton Library. Because of his interest and extensive knowledge, he again was the perfect choice to travel to Granville, Tennessee to serve as ambassador from Granville County, N.C., which he did in June, 2010. During his program Mark will show some pictures and share his experiences with the audience. Granville County Genealogical meetings are open to the public and guests are cordially invited to join with members of the society for this presentation which will be held at 6:30 P.M. September 2, 2010 at the Granville County Commissioners Meeting Room across Williamsboro Street from Sunrise Biscuits in Oxford.
