Featured Speaker: Gary Lee Hall
"John Randolph of Roanoke"
The program for the April 6, 2017 meeting of the Granville County Genealogical Society will be presented by Mr. Gary Lee Hall on "John Randolph of Roanoke." John Randolph was an antebellum leader in the States' Rights struggle. Randolph was a bit troubling and troubled, but always interesting. This program will present both the personality and beliefs of a forgotten southern leader.
Gary Lee Hall is a graduate of Virginia Tech with BA in History, Past Commander and present Lt. Commander of the 47th Regt. NC Troops Camp #166; Wake Forest, has researched and contributed to numerous books on the War Between the States, including biographies of General A. P. Hill and General John Brown Gordon. He is a member of the SCV Bonnie Blue Society, Virginia Society to the War of 1812, Sons of the Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution, SCV, Military Order of the Stars and Bars, and Jamestowne Society.

Thornton Library in Oxford, N.C. All GCGS meetings are open to the public, and visitors and guests are always cordially invited to attend.
