2019 Meeting Programs May 2nd Program Details The program for the May 2, 2019 meeting of the Granville County Genealogical Society will be presented by Mrs. Peggy Woodlief Johnson, GCGS member, who will give a presentation on "Why We Remember." Since May includes Memorial day, she will cover all wars in her presentation and why we remember them. She will be using her family as examples as they have served in all wars from the Revolution to present day. Peggy was born and raised in Granville County, graduating from Oxford High School. She is married to Troy Johnson who also is a Granville County native. Both have many family members in Granville County today. Please join members of the Granville County Genealogical Society in attending this meeting, to be held at 6:30 P.M. on May 2, 2019 in the conference room at the Richard H. Thornton Library in Oxford, N.C. All GCGS meetings are open to the public, and visitors and guests are always cordially invited to attend.
